Larder Lake and area is home to many great waterways and is considered by the locals to be an "Angler's Paradise". |

What kind of fish do we have up here in the Larder Lake area?
We have pickerel (walleye), perch, northern pike, lake trout, bass, speckled trout (brook trout), rainbow trout, catfish and splake (crossback). Splake is a cross between a speckled trout and a lake trout, and then "crossed back" to produce a much hardier and delicious trout! All are delicious eating!! Nothing compares to catching a nice fresh pickerel or lake trout, and cooking it over an open campfire.(Follow area Fire Safety guidelines available from the MNR) |
